Rwanda is not automatically the right choice for every traveller. Its main advantage is convenience. Uganda often offers better permit value, a wider accommodation range and more options for combining gorillas with chimpanzees and savannah wildlife. Rwanda or Uganda for Gorilla Trekking?

Choose Rwanda when transfer time matters most, you have only a few nights, or you want Rwanda’s premium lodge ecosystem. Choose Uganda when permit value, gorilla habituation, a broader range of lodges or a longer wildlife circuit matters more.
